At 6 PM EST on July 1st, the Second Meridian Ladder, ‘Dangerous Treasure’ will begin on 103.

As the name reveals, this ladder’s primary new risk & reward mechanic will be trapped treasure chests. Champion and boss monsters will drop treasure chests of varying size and quality when they die, and these chests will have a variety of deadly traps protecting their contents. It is up to you to identify and disarm these traps – or perhaps pass on a chest entirely if the risk outweighs the reward?

The secondary reward mechanic for this league involves Challenges. In your quest tab, you will find a list of challenges to undertake during the ladder. For each 1/4th of them you complete, your character will receive a Color Skin – a new type of item colorization that is not bound to specific items, but to your character directly! First you will receive a shield Color Skin, so that any shield you equip will be blue – then at 2/4ths, a blue helmet Color Skin. At 3/4ths, you’ll receive a blue weapon Color Skin. Finally, if you complete every single challenge, you’ll get a blue body armor Color Skin! These can all be turned off and on at will, and will make any item you equip that color. It can never be looted by an enemy or lost through any means. If you switch items mid-combat, your items stay blue!

Ladder guild halls have been added.

The Marauders from the first ladder will still exist, albeit at a reduced rate appropriate for general content.

In addition, a huge variety of content and buffs have been put in, including but not limited to a new stealth system, slayer weapons, rending weapons, the fixed forge, Agility & Aim buffs, and more. The Endless Sea Palace will also be going live as a source of challenge and fun for adventurers of many levels – you have complete control over the difficulty.
